Abstract:   (465 Views)
Skin ulcers are one of the most common injuries in humans, which have high costs for health care and serious long-term or permanent physical, psychological and social consequences. Wound healing involves processes such as cell migration, extracellular matrix deposition, regeneration and angiogenesis. In addition, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory reactions play a key role in the wound healing process. Wound healing is a complex process that requires specific factors and conditions, and commercial antimicrobial creams and dressing agents are unsuccessful in healing deep burn wounds. Medicines that accelerate wound healing are becoming more common, especially herbal medicines, which are mostly safe and effective. Studies have shown that Linum usitatissimum flaxseed oil has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant activities. It is traditionally used. Flaxseed has been shown to have positive effects on many types of wounds, such as healing skin wounds and burns. In this review article, we searched GoogleScholar, Pupmed and Scopus databases with Linum usitatissimum, flaxseed oil, wound healing and regeneration Keywords from 2014 to 2022 and positive effects of the use of flaxseeds in different types of wound healing and improvement of skin lesions are investigated in human studies, animal models and in vitro.
