Introduction: Meighan wetland is located in central Iran at 8 km northeastern of Arak mega city and 5 km southwestern of Davoodabad town. It is one of the highest salt waters of Iran. Artemia has been identified as a crucial species in saline waters ecosystems and contains high economic and environmental values. Materials & Methods: In this study, 18 sampling sites were sampled to determine the concentration of cysts, naupli, metanaupli, adult females and males, phytoplankton during March 2016 to February 2017. Also, some physical and chemical factors were analyzed in this study. Results:The results showed that ecological parameters such as seasonal variations of water temperature, salinity and pollutants had effects on Artemia population composition and survival, so that in the September, the highest cysts and biomass and in June and September, lower concentrations were reported. According to the results, cysts and biomass of Artemia had negative correlation with water temperature, pH and phytoplankton and positively and significantly correlated with DO and water temperature. Except for June in which Nitzschia had high abundance, during other months Dunaliella was the most abundant alga of Meighan Lake. Conclusion:In order to exploit stably by management approaches, more studies are needed for each season with regard to particular and unstable conditions of Meighan wetland.
